Reciprocal Link

The “Reciprocal Link” – term refers to a mutual link between two objects, usually between two websites ensuring mutual traffic. For example: Jane and Peter have websites. If there is a link from Peter’s website to Jane’s website, and also a link from Jane’s website to Peter’s website, the both websites are reciprocally linked. Many websites are submitted by their owners to reciprocal link exchange directories achieving higher rankings in the search engines. The reciprocal linking procedure between websites is an important part of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) process mainly because Google uses link popularity algorithms. These algorithms are defined as the number of links that led to a particular page and the anchor text of the link and they are used by Google to rank websites for relevancy.
